SYNOPSIS

The book traces Keith Haring’s love of art from a very young age, through school and then as an adult artist in New York City and internationally.

We learn about his experimentation with large-size paintings, street murals, graffiti, collaborative projects, and special projects painting a Chicago mural, the Berlin Wall and a church wall in the city of Pisa.

We learn of the many occasions when Haring shares art with children and is inspired by how they approach it.

We also learn about his loving family, his long-term DJ-artist partner, and the many admirers he encounters over his too-short life.
