Olivia
If I could write an ode to Olivia, I would. But I can’t so I’ll tell you to get it for every child you know, and the child inside you too. This is the book that made me want to have children, so I could read them books like hers. She is magical and spunky and playful and frustrating and creative and curious and energetic. She is everything a child should be. And I’m brokenhearted there will be no more Olivia books. But get all the Ian Falconer books. Forget the cartoons…

THEMES
- Experimenting with clothes and outfits for every occasion
- Becoming an expert at everything we do (no matter how casual the task)
- Aspiring to be a great artist, like the great artists before us
- Enjoying books and time with mom (and not wasting time with naps)
We love
- Olivia made me want to be a mom long before I had children of my own – she is the sweetest, spunkiest, most fearless girl
- Even when we feel badly for the mom, we end up siding with her daughter
- Olivia doesn’t do anything half-heartedly or halfway – and reminds us that it’s the only proper way to go through life!
CONVERSATION STARTERS
